So you want to brush your dog, but what brush should you use?

So you just came from the dog groomers and your dog is now looking like a hairless rat because he/she had to be shaved due to too much matting. Mats are doggy knots basically, but if left unattended they can create a big huge mess for your dog causing them to be shaved or cut shorter than you wish. Mats doesn’t only affect how your dog will be groomed, but they also pose potential health issues and can be quite painful as well.

If a groomer decided that your dog needs to be shaved, and you think its just the groomer taking the easy way out, its actually the opposite. Shaving a matted dog is very difficult for the groomer and requires more time and can cause irritation to the dog. I am Your Puppy

Some Care Tips for Your New Puppy

Please be advised that your new puppy will be stressed when going to its new home. It may or may not eat well the first few days. This is somewhat normal. Do keep an eye on your pup and make sure it is eating, drinking and going to the bathroom. After the first day or two we’d like to see the pp eating well.

Allow your puppy to have plenty of rest after it arrives. We want to really stress this. Don’t over do with a lot of play for a week or so, until your pup is over the stressful time. Play with the pup, let it rest, play a little, cuddle and hold and then let it rest some more. Your puppy is still a baby and does require a lot of sleep at this time and less and less as it gets older.
